Have you scheduled your mammogram yet?
If you are 40 years old, you need to schedule a baseline mammogram.
If you have a family history of Breast Cancer or you have dense breasts, your mammogram should also be 3D to improve detection and reduce call backs for additional studies.
If you have a strong family history of Breast Cancer, you should discuss this with your doctor as you may qualify for more detailed evaluations, including alternating MRI with mammogram, a breast specialist consult and genetic testing.
Do you have a family history of other cancers, such as Pancreatic, Ovarian, Colon, Peritoneal, Uterine, Metastatic Prostate etc. If so, discuss this with your doctor because genetic testing may be warranted.
